The new year is here and with it come endless possibilities! Over the next 52 weeks, I will be sharing my weekly progress in three personal development areas: Artificial Intelligence Software, Job Application Communication and Career Opportunity Discovery.
Artificial Intelligence Software
My goal for the coming weeks is to continue expanding my skills in artificial intelligence software. I am passionate about staying up-to-date in this field and aim to not only utilise ready-to-use AI software to create textual and visual content, but also to work with APIs and models to build custom software. I want to become well-positioned to develop applications for a future version of NeuraLink.
Job Application Communication
I have a wealth of knowledge in a wide variety of subjects. I can think critically, ask relevant questions and provide elaborate answers. However, I experience a bandwidth limitation when trying to access and translate this information into verbal communication during live conversations and job interviews. What I think could help me overcome this bandwidth limitation is to fill my head with even more relevant knowledge. I plan to invest a lot of hours in reading job descriptions, writing motivation letters and gaining a better understanding of questions and subjects that are likely to be discussed. I have to do these things anyway in order to apply for jobs and to get invited to interviews. My hypothesis is that it will be easier for me to formulate good live responses when I have already read and written similar responses over and over again in many variations. The corresponding neural pathways in my brain should become stronger, optimising for my job application process.
Career Opportunity Discovery
Knowing how to find relevant job vacancies and career opportunities is an additional skill that will be very helpful. Being genuinely excited about an organisation and the opportunity to work there should help me come across much more enthusiastic and motivated during the respective interview. I plan to spend time researching and networking to identify opportunities that align with my goals and skills.
