As a result of my heavier focus on software development and artificial intelligence proficiency, I am updating my professional identity from Service Design & Innovation Strategist to Software Designer & Innovation Strategist. I have synchronised this change throughout my portfolio website, CV, LinkedIn, Malt and other online profiles.

Hi there! I am Thijs van Zon – Software Designer by day [emoji] Techno DJ by night [emoji] Innovation Strategist always [emoji]
As a kid, I loved building original creations with Lego and K’nex. I then continued digitally with creative software and games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, The Sims, SketchUP, Creo and Blender. This passion led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at TU/e, where I learned to design engaging, user-centred and impactful experiences in collaboration with various stakeholders and teams, using Adobe CC, Axure RP, WordPress, Processing and Arduino. Currently, I am learning full stack software development with Vite.js, Node.js, React.js, Three.js, Fluent UI, Firebase, Azure, Python and GPT in order to provide even more value with cutting-edge intelligent solutions.
Meanwhile, I have been following technological advancements and the business behind tech through companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Google, Tesla, SpaceX, Nvidia, AMD, ASML, Palantir, and OpenAI. I have also invested in some of these companies after being involved in the crypto and web3 space for over five years. As the icing on the cake, I have even gained experience as an entrepreneur myself. Together with two friends I launched The Kitchen Rave, through which we are providing many events with entertainment, music and delicious meals with accompanying drinks. I am also bookable as DJ DBRD, specializing in the Techno genre with 20 different styles, which I mix fluently through my sets.
For the next chapter in my career and personal development, I am seeking a traineeship to expand my knowledge and skills in either artificial intelligence development, full stack development, web3 development or a combination of these, while making a positive impact helping various organisations with their visions, missions and innovation strategies.
