Artificial Intelligence Software – Master of AI = Master of Everything

This week I combined ChatGPT + Python + Blender to generate Mandelbrots. ChatGPT provided me with the Python code which was used as input for 3D models in Blender. ChatGPT made a few mistakes, but after pointing out what it did wrong, it provided the correct code.

Job Application Communication – Discovering and Improving

I watched two UWV webinars: STARR Method and Preparing for job interviews as a sensitive person. Job application: IT Traineeship at Goodzo. I was called and the phone call went well. I believe I came across enthusiastic and I don’t regret any of the answers I gave. Unfortunately I do not qualify for the IT Traineeship if I do not live in the Randstad.

There is one improvement point for me. When expecting a phone call or a planned job interview my mind keeps thinking about the upcoming conversation and I find it somewhat hard to focus on other tasks, such as writing another cover letter. Through experiencing more conversations, I hope to become more comfortable in the periods leading up to appointments, so I can forget about them for a while and focus my full attention on the task at hand.

Career Opportunity Discovery – Born to Innovate

On Thursday 5 January, I had a profound revelation: what drives me is originality. I often enjoy doing things differently than what is considered the norm, and I love finding life hacks that make things easier or more efficient. When I discover my optimal way of doing something, I just know this is the way, and it feels good.

For example, I find that I am extra motivated to be productive on weekends because I know that most other people will be taking it easy. I also tend to steer clear of mainstream music because I often find it uninteresting or cringeworthy. Some of the best choices I have made in my life have been things that are not considered normal, such as practicing intermittent fasting and not using an alarm to wake up all tired and unmotivated. These things have a big impact on my focus and energy levels throughout the day. In general, I believe that if you do the same things as most people, you will end up like most people. That prospect is not exciting to me. This is the reason I am so drawn to innovation – I was born for it.

I believe this aspect of my personality is very interesting, personal and valuable to discuss in cover letters and job interviews. It shows that, if your company is aiming for innovation, I am the asset you should bring on board. Of course, sometimes this can clash with entrenched systems in society, but that is just part of the deal. The more clash, the more opportunity for disruption.

To truly embrace innovation, I believe it is important to throw all assumptions out the window and approach things from first principles. This allows us to tear everything down and rebuild in a better way. To be effective in my work, I need to be in a position surrounded by people and resources that support this mindset and process. The role of a consultant comes to mind, where I will be infiltrating various organisations, breaking down outdated systems, and rebuilding them optimally.

The question now is whether it would be best for me to first go through a traineeship to learn about the inner workings of several companies before joining a consultancy, or if I can go straight into a consultancy role. Let us find what works for me. Let the career opportunities come!
